The Boatyard at Buckeye Lake
Summer Fun at The Boatyard at Buckeye Lake
The fun begins this summer at “The Boatyard at Buckeye Lake”. Some good friends of ours, Kelli and Terry Tackett, Randy Torres, and Dave Moran purchased the old Sayre Brother’s Marina and have spent tons of time and cash remodeling the building and docks. It is now called “The Boatyard at Buckeye Lake”. They have nearly 60 docks available for seasonal rental. We were fortunate and got a dock for our boat this season. We’re looking forward to spending many hours out on the water.
We all scream for Ice Cream
Part of the Boatyard facility is the new “Dips on the Lake” ice cream shop, named after the roller coaster at the old Buckeye Lake Amusement Park. They will be serving up all flavors of ice cream and sorbet from Johnson’s Ice Cream. It’s sure to be a popular stop along the new boardwalk atop the new dam.
Pontoon Boats, Fishing Boats, Kayaks, and Bicycle Rentals
Coming soon is the plan is to offer rentals for pontoon boats, fishing boats, kayaks, and bicycles. The boardwalk offers 4.2 miles of bike riding one way atop the dam. You’ll be able to rent a boat or bike and visit one of the many places to eat on the lake. You can visit their website here: https://www.boatyardatbuckeyelake.com/ They also have a Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/Boatyard-at-Buckeye-Lake-227526121496264/
Stop and and see them located at 5147 North Bank Rd. Buckeye Lake Ohio. Be sure to tell them you heard about them on https://turfsideup.com/
Do you have pontoon rentals.
Gale,
I don’t think they do but we aren’t affiliated with the BoatYard, just customers.
